IT'S LEGAL TO CREATE PDF WITH PDFLOGIC SOFTWARE?
Clarification
Adobe develops PDF and owns the copyright for the PDF
specifications but has made much of its core technology an
open standard. PDFLogic Corporation develops PDF Creator for
Windows 7 and PDF Server for Windows 2008 on solid legal
ground. Using PDFLogic software to produce documents in
PDF is completely legal.

Adobe Statement
Adobe invented the format, PDF (Portable Document
Format), and owns the copyrights on the data structures,
operators, and written specification for PDF. In an
effort to make PDF an open standard, Adobe has granted
permission to anyone to write software that creates PDF
files. The great company has also given royalty free
licenses to the patents if they are used to create PDF
files.
